All in all, I recommend this book for anyone 14 years or older. The story also raises questions about mortality that some readers may find offensive or sensitive.

Other things to look out for: violence and bad/mature language. I didn't feel the story was executed well. Despite this, I had a hard time enjoying the book because it progresses slowly. Their relationships, emotions, and actions all had an impact and tugged at my heartstrings. I also really liked the different perspectives, as every character had a role that made them valuable to the story. I really enjoyed the concept of the story, that everyone gets a heads up on the day of their death. We all need to live every day to the fullest because we’ll never know if it is our last even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact. They Both Died at the End taught me so many important life lessons. Thanks to the App Last Friends for Deckers Mateo and Rufus find each other and live their last day together to the fullest. When they were called they both find themselves with no one to talk to. Now that they've gotten 'the call,' both discover they don't have anyone to talk to.
